Over the past 2-3 weeks, we have seen all of the major carriers active in the Middle East & ISC / Europe trade announcing various GRI and RRIs.

We are therefore announcing a GRI wef 1st of February as follows:

SCOPE - Middle East and South Asia to North Europe and Mediterranean
AMOUNT - USD 300/600 per 20'/40'
COMMODITIES - DRY only
EFFECTIVE DATE - 1st of February 2010

We expect capacity in the trade to be VERY tight in February/March this year.
You should all be aware that rates are still about USD 1000/FFE lower than 2008 when the trade was last profitable.

Please also note that we expect to announce another GRI wef 1st of March, amount tba, so please keep validities to end Feb only.

Notification will go on the Communication Matrix next week and a press notice will be released on Maerskline.com Monday 4th of January.
