Please be advised that with effect from January 1, 2010, the "Gulf of Aden Surcharge" ( GAS) will be revised to USD 43/TEU for traffic between the whole of Asia and Europe (both bounds).

This is to continue to cover the ongoing costs of operating within the Gulf of Aden sea lanes and providing safe passage of all cargo, crew, and vessels under the constant threat of piracy still present within the region.
