Financial Accountant

We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Financial Accountant to join our team. This role is vital to our organization’s success as it involves maintaining accurate financial records, providing financial information to management, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The Financial Accountant will collaborate closely with the Headquarters, Country Management, and HR on payroll activities.

You will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Manage the month-end close process, including reporting to HQ.
- Ensure accurate and timely registration of all business transactions and ensure consistency with group finance standards for dedicated areas.
- Ensure steady adequate cash flow through tight grip on collections.
- Communicate and liaise with banks, customers, vendors, and intercompany entities.
- Monitor key financials and report any deviations.
- Review shipment job costing and report on deviations.
- Assist in managing the periodical planning and budgeting process.
- Monitor tax and social security requirements and ensure timely filing to authorities.
- Prepare periodical statements for local authorities, such as VAT filings.
- Prepare statutory accounts and collaborate with auditors
- Participate in transformation projects,
- Support HR in reconciliation, salary payments, running payrolls, HR tax procedures, social security, and similar requirements.
The ideal candidate offers us the following:
- A commercial diploma or a degree in Finance or Accounting
- Previous experience in a similar role within the Logistics industry.
- Strong knowledge about Swiss Gap Fer and IFRS
- International exposure and experience are highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics AX or D365.
- Flexible and adaptable to a fast-changing environment.
- Ability to work effectively across teams and collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Resourcefulness and the ability to identify problems and deliver solutions with a high level of attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong team player with a hands-on and proactive work mentality.
