Operations Specialist , Singapore

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented individual with 3 – 4 years of experience to join us as an Operations Specialist in Singapore.

This role provides and delivers professional, helpful, high-quality assistance before, during and after the customer’s requirements are met. It is a supportive management, where procedures are pretty essential in encouraging responsiveness to our customer’s needs and finding methods to support the achievement of commercial goals. This role shows actual care for the customer and builds up an emotional connection by listening to their needs, answering their questions and offering the right solution. This role aims to win and maintain customers by giving quality service, price and the item differentiation.

Main Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Providing excellent top-notch customer care and maintaining a high customer retention rate through phone and written communication by efficiently as
    well as proactively addressing and responding to customers and their concerns.
  • Interact with our customers in arranging their shipments, exceeding customer care expectations.
  • Liaise directly with incumbent customers to request shipments, ask for optimization and revenue enhancement opportunities.
  • Liaise and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Reviewing customer complaints by analysing each complaint and take note of larger trends to take appropriate action.
  • Documenting all customer interactions.
  • Ensure that each shipment generates the maximum contribution to AFG by keeping constant focus on meeting the required service level at the lowest
    possible cost.
  • Ensure smooth and timely freight process flow, maintain and file all records in accordance with company procedures.
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operating system.
  • Track and trace shipment as required.
  • Ensure timely movement and delivery of freight to customers.
  • Ensure documents sent to customer or broker for customs purposes on time.
  • Assist the colleagues in business development, sales and operations to establish, interoperate and understand SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedure) and
    the colleagues abroad with quotations and customer/product knowledge/solution finding.
  • Constantly review working processes with carriers and other providers to ensure best practice, but also that fees charged are in line with
    competitors.
  • Challenge todays way of working (WoW) and optimize towards internal procedures and customers.
  • Design local logistics solutions and ideas and help building such together with colleagues internal and abroad, to create new revenue streams.
  • Overseas communications, timely responses to emails and requests (internal and external).
  • Always meet compliance to regulations. This includes internal policies and procedures such as operational process standards (OPS) and external
    government regulations or customer’s policies and requirements.
  • Assist create and present useful customer reports and statistics to sales, Office & Operations Manager, Operations Manager, Country Manager, Sales
    Director and the Management.
  • Create and distribute marketing material in collaboration with the communications team and assist in business development / product events /
    campaigns.
