Sales Manager – China

To support the organization of Atlantic Forwarding Group within our Sales department,
we are looking for two (2)

Sales Manager

Work place: Shanghai (1) and Ningbo (1)
Position: Full-time
Reports to: Sales Director Greater China / Airfreight Director Asia

In this role you will perform sales activities within the assigned geographic area in line with the sales targets and objectives (SME). You will be responsible for client acquisition, raise awareness and ensure business in the assigned market. You will achieve the sales figures / the required budget in the assigned city. Further, you will be also responsible for identifying market needs and developing new services in cooperation with your supervisor and the product managers.

Your main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Qualify prospects against company criteria for ideal customers, develop and maintain sales pipelines
  • Prospect for potential customers using various direct methods such as cold calling, visits and indirect methods such as networking and referrals
  • Secure free-hand business to achieve assigned sales quotas and targets against a calendar schedule
  • Drive the entire sales cycle from initial customer engagement to closed sales
  • Visit customers on daily basis in line with company requirements
  • Prepare quotations, proposal and negotiate rates and service terms with customers
  • Report sales activities and maintain good records on prospect and customer interactions for internal reference
  • Cultivate strong relationships with third party and partner companies that maybe required to deliver full solutions to customers
  • Be a positive representative of the company and its brand in the marketplace
  • Conduct all sales activities with the highest degree of professionalism and integrity

Your profile:

  • At least 3 – 5 years’ work experience in a sales role within the freight forwarding industry
  • 3 or more years’ functional know-how in airfreight, sea freight and logistics
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a strong customer and result orientation
  • Profound local market knowledge (customers, competitors, suppliers, overall environment)
  • Quick grasp to understand our strategy and products
  • Basic business administration competence
  • Good on English level between B2/C1, C1 is preferred
  • Sound in MS Office skills (Office 365)
  • Self- and sales-driven, representative with a confident appearance
  • Open and positive mind-set with a «can & will do» attitude
